Zion NP understood the assignment on Taylor + Zach’s wedding day. The weather was perfect even at the beginning of October. Their wedding was one of those days that started early & ended late, yet it went by incredibly fast because of how memorable & fun every aspect of it was. These two are SO over the moon in love with each other & I truly felt that radiating from them all day long in everything they did.

I spent this wedding second shooting for the incredible Katie Byrd & it was so so fun! She was looking for someone last minute to help her out & I was going to be in the area at the same time, so it worked out perfectly! I’m so glad I got to be a small part of this special wedding.

The morning of, we met up with Taylor & Zach at a spot that Katie & I had scouted the day before inside of the park. It was a chilly morning since we started at sunrise but it warmed up as the sun peeked over the mountains! The couple did a first look & then shared their vows with nobody else around except for us two & their videographer. It was so intimate. We used up the rest of the time at this mountainside location taking their bridals, capturing some super surreal moments of these two during the most quiet part of their day.

Afterwards, Katie & I went back to our hotel to back up our files from that morning & to get ready for the rest of the day. We stayed at East Zion Thunderbird Lodge & it was the perfect distance from the east entrance of the park. This hotel was super cozy and they had a retro restaurant next door that serves the best classic American food! However, if you’re looking for a place to stay that’s inside of the park or even just a more unique overnight experience, check out this blog that lists some noteworthy options.

Taylor & Zach had their ceremony at Zion Mountain Ranch where they said “I Do” with a wide open range as a backdrop and mountains in the far distance! This is also where a lot of their family stayed for the weekend because they have a bunch of cabins and lodging available to book! For the reception, we drove up the road to their villa which is also where Taylor got ready! This rental was absolutely insane, I couldn’t believe that it was real when we pulled up hahah. It was like a mini castle!

During cocktail hour, we snuck away with Taylor & Zach to get some golden hour bridals up the street at the prettiest lookout point. The sun hit in the photos juuuust right. A Chef’s kiss kinda moment- if you will. They brought their martinis along for these photos so we had to include them in a few shots- which ended up being some of my favorites from the whole day!

During dinner, the toasters gave their speeches and had everybody in their feels. You could really feel the love that everybody there had for this sweet couple. They ended the night with a two hour dance party & it was definitely one of my favorites that I’ve ever witnessed. Their DJ team was out. of. this. world. Like I’m seriously contemplating hiring them for my own wedding someday! Everybody was getting down on that dance floor hahaha I loved it.

I wish I could properly explain even more in depth just how perfect this day was, but you’re just going to have to take my word for it because I’m bad with words lol.
