Mother nature threw us for a damn LOOP during Gina & Jasons maternity/gender reveal session hahah. We met for their shoot in the outskirts of Eagle in mid-April so I figured Idaho would have it’s ish together when it came to weather…. But I couldn’t have been more wrong. The wind was blowing like crazy and then it started HAILING for the first twenty minutes of us shooting hahah. But I promise this story turns positive because after the hail storm passed, the sun came out and peeked through the clouds, giving us sun for the last 30 minutes of their session. It was beauuuutiful.
I was so glad that we got Idaho to show off for a few shots because Gina & Jason traveled all the way to Boise from Vegas for their spring break vacation! So even though they spent spring break in the snow, they got to experience a little bit of the beauty that comes with the Idaho sun!
Gina reached out a few months ago to book a session while they were here and they planned to do a reveal of their baby’s gender! So, at the beginning of the session they launched their smoke bombs to announce that they’re having a baby girl :,) Unfortunately the wind was blowing too hard to capture much of the pink smoke in photos but you can see it in their highlight video!
I always love shooting maternity sessions even though it’s not very often, there’s something so so special about photographing a woman’s body during such a powerful stage! Whether you have a significant other to join you or you’re doing it on your own, it deserves to be documented <3 Message me through this link to get in touch & schedule your own maternity session to have these sweet moments to always hold onto. Or view more of my work here to see if we’d be a good fit!
If you ever find yourself vacationing in the Boise area, here’s a few must eats that my boyfriend & I visit frequently: Eight Thirty Common, Mesa Tacos + Tequila, Boise Juice Co., Rebrandts, Truffles Etc., The Hype, Holy Cow, & Mountain Timber Coffee.
Also, I recently heard about these cute AirBnB lofts in Garden City called 35th and Clay & I plan to staycation at one of them soon! So I figured I’d link it for anyone who’s looking for a unique stay while they’re here in the Boise area 🙂
